Do you see a godly person in an ordinary fisherman?
(What I meant was, as a fishermen, it never crossed my mind that someday the son of the Living God would come into the world and prefer me than the many religious workers from the temple? Is it not a surprise that Jesus Christ prefer me instead of the Pharisees, Levite, and the teachers of the law? I am sure the people in the temple were!)
Anyway maybe you do not wished to divulge your judgement.
Not until Jesus the Christ came and picked 11 of them to be His disciples, they were just fishermen. They were catchers of fish until our Saviour Jesus promised to teach and train them to catch men.
They were just ordinary people until Jesus, chose them and blessed them with the power of the Holy Spirit, transforming them, from ordinary to 'extra' ordinary people. They were catching fish then but now they work for the Kingdom of God, to look for God's lost children, living in the world the Creator placed them, lost from the Truth.
Today, the Father in Christ Jesus chose me to be a fisher-of-men. I am now a worker for the Kingdom of God. Honestly, the work is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Where do I start looking? How should I introduce my Saviour Jesus to these people?
Okay! okay! I am not going to start complaining like Moses did, okay! Even when God assured Moses that He will be with him throughout his assignment, Moses wasn't confident of managing that mammoth divine mandate.
Like Moses, I am also assured by my Saviour that He will sent His Spirit to equip me. After all, it is He who is doing all the work as I am merely a vessel used by Him. Without the Holy Spirit, I could accomplished nothing for His honor and glory!
I did not spent obscene amount of money to attend classes learning about my Saviour and what to do for the task ahead. Everything I needed was filled by the power of the Holy Spirit to equip me for the purpose.
Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning. I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:11-12
I am not a part of any role that is of the temple built by men. On the contrary, I belong to the Temple, who is Jesus Christ my Saviour. In Matthew 27:50-51, Mark 15:37-38, and Luke 23:45-46, it was recorded that the temple built by men was destroyed when Jesus Christ died. Jesus Christ is now the Temple and those who are chosen by the Father will be weave into His body.
A Reprise: I am but a fisherman, just an ordinary fisherman until Jesus my Master came to transform me into a fisher of men. I am not a Levite, Pharisee, Sadducee or any teacher of religious`law appointed by the temple. I am an ordinary fisherman chosen by Jesus Christ Himself.
This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead. Galatian 1:1
My duty as a fisher of men is, believe it or not, rather simple. All that was required of me is to go about my own life, keep myself away from evil and wrong doings until I am needed. If there are any work to be accomplished, then the Holy Spirit will fill and equip me. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. (2 Timothy 2:21)
Hope now you understood me when I say I need not spend obscene amount of money to study to equip myself to do the work of God. I am sure my heavenly Father will not want to burden me financially.
It is not that we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God, Himself. 2 Corinthians 3:5
You see, we are not like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Jesus Christ's authority, knowing that God is watching us.
2 Corinthians 2:17
As a fisher of men, my work is constantly witnessed by God, the Father of my Saviour Jesus Christ. It's not important whether men witnessed my work and judged it because I am not a praise and attention seeker. Neither am I doing it for money. Our heavenly Father is so rich; He owns the world and everything in it and He will be please to gift us, His children anything we asked from Him. It makes no sense why He would want us to pay for anything and burden us. My praise comes from God alone.
My appointment as a fisher of men, my work is not inside the temple but to built and seek God's lost children and bring them home to the Temple. So, if I am not with you in the temple, don't judge me as someone different because you do not know or understand my work for the Temple.
Leave me alone! You do not understand my work or my life. Do not think or believe that because you are a regular attendee of Sunday service, you are mightier than me! You do not even know of my personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
I am a fisher of men, a servant of the Gospel, not appointed by any human authority but by Jesus and the Father.
I am a Fisher of Men, who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the Living God, Creator who was sent to redeem me by dying for all my sins on the cross, and with the help from the Holy Spirit gifted to me, I confessed with my mouth and believed in my heart that Jesus is the Saviour, I died and rose with my Saviour and now awaiting His return soon to bring me home safely to the Father, who alone loves me.
As a fisher of men, each day, I am prepared to suffer persecution, prosecution and execution for the glory of the Gospel of Jesus, my Saviour.
Are you ready?
Sharing God, my heavenly Father in Christ Jesus's wisdom that fills my tots daily.....
